Alpenchalet Almrose is located in the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal- Wildschönau. At 800 meters from Alpenchalet Almrose is the gondola that takes you to the ski resort. The area is ideal for families and novice winter sports enthusiasts, but also for the more experienced winter sports enthusiast this area offers more than enough challenge.
Ski resort
With 109 km of slopes, the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal- Wildschönau offers plenty of opportunities and challenge for both the novice and the advanced skier. 85% of the slopes can be artificially snowed. This makes the area snow-sure.
Ski school
Whether you are a beginner, pro, carver or snowboarder, the ski schools in the area offer an extensive program of children’s and adult ski lessons in groups or private lessons.
Cross-country skiing
Approximately 50 km of groomed cross-country ski trails cross the Wildschönau area and often run through beautiful secluded spots. Alpachtal also has 70 km of trails.
Sleighing
Fancy an exciting challenge? Then try the 5km long toboggan run that takes you from the Schatzberg through the woods to Auffach. In addition to the toboggan run in Auffach, there are also challenging toboggan runs in Niederau and Oberau.
Winter hiking
During a winter hike or a snowshoe trip you can enjoy the beautiful nature and idyllic places and cozy huts in the Wildschönau area. We are happy to give you tips for beautiful walks.
